August IPO Calendar: LEAP India, MV Electrosystems & Top Listings to Watch

CCandlle Team
•2026-08-03•9 min read

A complete look at August 2026's IPO lineup, LEAP India, MV Electrosystems, Ardee Industries and more, with price bands, GMP, dates and what to watch.

August IPO Calendar: LEAP India, MV Electrosystems & Top Listings to Watch

If you blinked over the last few days, you might have missed just how much is happening in India's primary market right now. Two IPOs are closing their subscription windows as this goes live, a third opens in a couple of days, and a fourth, the biggest of the lot, opens next week. July already set a hot pace, with around 13 issues raising close to Rs. 18,350 crore combined, and August looks like it wants to keep that momentum going rather than let it cool off.

Here is a straight rundown of what is on the table this month, starting with the two that close first.

Closing This Week: MV Electrosystems and Juniper Green Energy

MV Electrosystems, a Faridabad-based railway electronics manufacturer, closes its Rs. 290 crore issue on August 3. The company makes IGBT-based propulsion equipment, switchgear panels and cable protection systems for railway rolling stock, essentially the electrical guts of electric locomotives and EMU coaches. The price band is set at Rs. 400 to Rs. 425 per share, with a lot size of 34 shares, which puts the minimum retail investment at roughly Rs. 14,450 at the upper end. Allotment is expected on August 4, and the stock is tentatively set to list on both BSE and NSE on August 6.

Here is where it gets interesting. The company's revenue actually fell by about 23 percent year on year, and profit after tax dropped by close to 1,000 percent, essentially wiping out what used to be a healthy bottom line. And yet, the grey market premium has been running unusually hot, quoted around Rs. 90 to Rs. 115 over the past week, which works out to a premium of roughly 21 to 27 percent over the upper price band. That is a genuinely wide gap between what the fundamentals say and what grey market money is betting on, and it is worth sitting with before you get swept up in the subscription frenzy.

Juniper Green Energy, the Rs. 1,800 crore renewable energy issue, closes on the same date. We have already covered the full subscription story and valuation picture for Juniper here, including why a rich 316 times P/E kept Day 1 demand surprisingly muted despite a positive grey market premium. Both stocks share a listing date of August 6, which means August's very first trading week will already have two fresh mainboard debuts to judge.

Opening Next: Ardee Industries

Ardee Industries opens for subscription on August 5 and closes August 7, with listing expected on August 12. The issue size is around Rs. 425.90 crore, priced at a modest band of Rs. 50 to Rs. 53 per share, a sharp contrast to the higher-priced names elsewhere on this list. The company manufactures precision-engineered components and heavy fabrications for power, infrastructure, mining and heavy machinery OEMs, and plans to use the proceeds mainly for working capital and machinery purchases tied to capacity expansion. It is a smaller, more industrial story compared to the consumer-facing or tech-adjacent names that usually grab headlines, but the kind of order-book-driven business that tends to reward patience over a quick listing pop.

The Big One: LEAP India Opens August 7

This is the issue most retail investors are actually watching. LEAP India, a KKR-backed supply chain and asset-pooling company, opens on August 7 and closes August 11, with anchor bidding a day earlier on August 6. The company runs a circular "share and reuse" model, pooling pallets, containers and material handling equipment across roughly 14.7 million assets and over 10,100 customer touchpoints nationwide, essentially renting out logistics infrastructure to e-commerce, FMCG and automotive companies instead of each one buying and maintaining its own.

The price band is Rs. 151 to Rs. 159 per share, with a lot size of 94 shares, putting the minimum retail investment at around Rs. 14,946. The total issue size is Rs. 2,480 crore, split between a Rs. 480 crore fresh issue and a Rs. 2,000 crore offer for sale from promoter entities. Of the fresh issue proceeds, Rs. 360 crore is earmarked for debt repayment, with the company's outstanding borrowings standing at just over Rs. 1,023 crore as of June 2026. On the financial side, revenue grew 56.4 percent to Rs. 729.5 crore in FY26, and profit after tax rose 66 percent to Rs. 62.3 crore, a far healthier growth pairing than what MV Electrosystems is showing. Allotment is expected August 12, with listing on both exchanges scheduled for August 14. As of the latest reading, the grey market premium has been fairly modest, around Rs. 5 to Rs. 8, implying a listing pop closer to 3 to 5 percent rather than anything dramatic.

IPO Price Band Issue Size Open - Close Listing
MV Electrosystems Rs. 400-425 Rs. 290 cr Jul 30 - Aug 3 Aug 6
Juniper Green Energy Rs. 214-225 Rs. 1,800 cr Jul 30 - Aug 3 Aug 6
Ardee Industries Rs. 50-53 Rs. 425.90 cr Aug 5 - Aug 7 Aug 12

Grey Market Premium: A Tale of Two Very Different Stories

GMP-Implied Listing Premium as of Aug 3, 2026

Percentage over upper price band, based on informal grey market quotes

~21%
MV Electrosystems
~3%
LEAP India

GMP is unofficial, not published by SEBI, NSE or BSE, and changes daily

Notice how lopsided that gap is. MV Electrosystems, the company with declining revenue and a near-total profit wipeout, is commanding a far richer grey market premium than LEAP India, a business with genuinely strong revenue and profit growth. Grey market premium reflects short-term sentiment and listing-day speculation, not a company's underlying financial health, and this pair is about as clean an example of that disconnect as you will find this month.

Why a Hot GMP Should Never Be the Whole Decision

It is tempting to chase whichever IPO has the loudest grey market chatter, but that instinct is exactly why a large share of retail traders end up losing money in the stock market, applying based on buzz rather than reading the actual prospectus numbers. A wide GMP can evaporate within days of listing if the broader market turns choppy, and a company with weakening fundamentals underneath a hot listing pop is still a company with weakening fundamentals a year later. Sizing your IPO applications sensibly, the same discipline covered in our piece on the 3-5-7 rule for protecting trading capital, matters just as much here as it does in F&O trading.

If you are newer to IPO applications altogether, our broader primer on whether retail investors should apply to 2026's IPOs walks through the basics of ASBA, UPI mandates and how allotment actually works, worth a read before your first mainboard bid this month.

Still Watching a Few Others This Month

Manipal Health Enterprises, which we covered in detail when it opened in late July, is also working through its post-listing phase around this same window, and our full breakdown of its price band, financials and long-term case is still relevant if you are deciding whether to hold or add on dips. And if you missed last week's smaller pair, our roundup on Indo-MIM and Poojaa Precision covers two issues that quietly listed while the bigger names grabbed attention.

Further out, there is a lot of chatter around India's biggest anticipated listings, Reliance Jio, NSE itself, PhonePe and a few others, though none of these have confirmed dates yet. The NSE listing in particular has been inching closer to SEBI clearance, and our piece comparing NSE and BSE ahead of that Rs. 30,000 crore issue is worth bookmarking for whenever a firm date does get announced.

A Quick Word on Applying This Month

With four mainboard issues moving through different stages in the same fortnight, it helps to keep the basics straight. Apply through ASBA via your bank's net banking, or through UPI if your broker offers that route, and always double check the lot size and minimum investment before placing your bid, since a single lot of LEAP India costs almost the same as a single lot of MV Electrosystems despite the very different price bands. Keep an eye on allotment dates too, since MV Electrosystems and Juniper Green Energy allotments land on the same day, which means your bank balance needs to account for both if you have applied to each.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. When does the LEAP India IPO open and close?

LEAP India opens for subscription on August 7, 2026 and closes on August 11, 2026, with listing on BSE and NSE scheduled for August 14, 2026.

2. What is the price band for MV Electrosystems IPO?

MV Electrosystems has a price band of Rs. 400 to Rs. 425 per share, with a lot size of 34 shares and a minimum retail investment of around Rs. 14,450 at the upper band.

3. Why is MV Electrosystems IPO GMP high despite weak financials?

Grey market premium reflects short-term listing-day sentiment rather than underlying company health, which is why MV Electrosystems shows a strong GMP even though its revenue and profit both declined sharply.

4. What does LEAP India actually do?

LEAP India is a KKR-backed supply chain asset-pooling company that rents out pallets, containers and material handling equipment to businesses instead of them buying and maintaining their own.

5. What is the minimum investment for the Ardee Industries IPO?

Ardee Industries is priced at Rs. 50 to Rs. 53 per share. Exact lot size details are available on the official RHP, and the issue opens August 5 and closes August 7, 2026.

6. Are Juniper Green Energy and MV Electrosystems listing on the same day?

Yes, both are tentatively scheduled to list on BSE and NSE on August 6, 2026, making it a busy first trading week for August's new listings.

7. Is a high GMP a reliable sign an IPO will list well?

Not entirely. GMP is an unofficial, unregulated indicator that can shift daily and does not account for a company's actual financial fundamentals, so it should never be the only factor behind an IPO decision.
